The time crafter - Mozaic
/-----------------------------------\

01 - Intro:

In the past lands of Edin, with the four States; Eden in the southeast, defended by the goodwill to the people and ruled by Emperor Istus, Kaik~s in the southwest, a volcanic wasteland only inhabited by strongmen and ruled by Emperor Giroth, Emper in the northeast.. still a great forest in this time, and unknown to the outside world.. Now our eyes turn to the kingdom of Trine, wealthy and powerful, ruled by King Osega, also sworn to be the 'child of the sun', for the capital was build from solid gold, and the people dorned in the most impressive jewelry shining brightly.

Noone would dare stand against any of these states for each of their individual qualities barred eachother from taking any hostile policy. And so it remained untill rumors of the old gods return. And calamity had struck in Emper. Many folk talked about a time eating beast that could be tamed, and had been used by one of the old gods to travel from its domain to our world.. a preposterous tale.. however Emper had been overtaken by sorcerors and wisemen who claimed to have secured the time eating beast that they had named 'Denimus' literally meaning 'against intention'.

By this time Osega had taken on a expedition to the desert of owls near emper from wich the reports of the old god originated, His eldest Daughter Selen had been given in the Care of Istus for diplomatic purposes and had been deployed at the border of Owls desert but had not been heard from anymore, in their stead he left his two sons to protect his kingdom;  Paa aman the eldest, proud prince and though immovable and distanced from the people, had trine in his heart.. And Kyigei the youngest, who found himself more interested in lore and the pursuit of knowledge. For his sense of justice his father Osega had given 'him the title 'Executioner in service of Trine" wich gave him duty to mortally judge the criminals of the kingdom, to the jealousy of his older brother Paa aman.

Now that their father had left the capital, Paa aman saw his chance to set aside Kyigeis titles and installed a preemptive plan of action against Emper would his father not return.

When Kyigei heard of it he said no word but isolated himself from the capitals affairs by frequenting a friend in the area, and often gave lessons and play with his respective son.

While Kyigei was out of the capital, Paa aman continued on his project he would eventually brand 'The sunrock', a blueprint for a giant flying battleship to cruise the globe in search of what had caused the return of the old god and battle it.
-

02 - Building the ship:

Unlike his younger brother; Kyigei,  Paa aman was a rather assertive and calculated thinker who would under no circumstance settle with a day without a mark on the agenda.

With their father, the king gone from the capital on a trip to skim the desert in an attempt to flush out the reported 'old god', he would take no rest but started his own ambitious project; a massive airship to aid their efforts to defend their state in these escalated times, Emper in particular.

Kyigei saw no good in the plan to act on their own so early, but respected his brothers effort however left the capital to stay with a friend of the family and his son, a fifteen year old lad who was but four years younger than kyigei himself.

Paa aman called upon the greatest engineers in the kingdom to work on this glorious ship, many answerred the call.. including the kings personal highest officer Uume whom was for his prior status made the projects global overseer and captain.

In time, Trine would have a new treasure.

03 - A calm before:

A letter arrived at Prince paa aman's desk.

-

'ridiculous, first he leaves his responsibilities at the capital and then showcases a travesty for the whole state to see, and what will Giroth of kaiks even think of this, in his state such a thing is punished by labor in the mines.'
said Uume whom had taken priviledge to have gazed upon the letter.

Paa aman only for a moment looked up and shook his head calmly.

'this is my brother, and i can't say i didn't see through his feelings, he has never had the heart for spiritless matters, but he's like a small garden, happy with minimal tending, his mind on grace in the wind"

Uume sighed.. "But prince, if you force him to go then what about the power balance in the capital, many are his entourage.. you can't confiscate them.."

"enough" Paa aman emitted whilst standing up to make for the council "I will have no choice, he cannot come back"

---
"Brother, all is well with me. I have heard of your achievements with the ship, i am proud of you.
No word of father yet, i send you word for i must confess.. i have fallen in love.
So accept my leave within this oppertunity for we want to make for Caboth; The flying garden, just for a while before we return to The capital.

I had not planned this, i merely ached for a calm and wonder and he gives me that. Yes.. i speak of Sidel, he is a flower to me, oh believe me.. he is so talented in everything"

"Meric objects, naturally.. even for one of our family. He said it was beyond a local matter.. it would bring shame to our state.. our father.
But it is my heart that speaks. And Sidel feels the same. When father returns i know you can make him understand. I trust you with this as much as your project.

Please let me know your decision.

sincerely-
prince Kyigei kurei."

"So?" Uume consulted calmly stroking his neck..

"Let him have his vacation, no need to ruin that yet, we have a lot of research material on the Denimus in front of us" Paa aman answered "He's still my brother"

04 - End of the sun:

Temple of owls, In the shape of a giants hand with a hundred fingers rising from the sand, the entrance had no marks neither was it dorned engraved or etched, a place of poverty.
For what reason would the King of Trine with a hundred men large division come to this landmark other than for a reason worth more than riches; peace.
Ludicrous to surround such an important objective with a trivial amount of protection, but it was peacetime in general, perhaps even the Kings would let their guard down.

Rumors from the surrounding desert border had told of submerged white vines of unknown kind, easily confused with tree roots.. but moving around.
some had said the vines had teeth, and wielded blades like a warrior. The most recent reports had told of the roots conjuncting into a humanoid form, the vines would bleed from eachothers thorns in its process that it formed a shroud of pure blood.
The phenomenon had been seen by enough people to make the King himself check it out, and so Osega of Trine did.

"My lord, section one is ready to enter the temple for the first scout, you have the word" said a soldier with his hands deep in the desert sand trying to stay as low as possible before the King.

King Osega laughed and pulled the soldier up.. "You dont have to bow for me here, they say the vines are beneath us afterall, so i would prefer every man to stand as tall as they can"
"Very well,.." Osega called out whilst waving his hand toward a twenty men section of his division. These men were trained since childhood and only the strongest and most loyal had been selected, but every one of them felt it, even the King.. that something was terribly wrong.

"Stand still!" "Not another step" the highest officer of the twenty men division called out at the front of the Temple, King Osega standing at the back could not make out the problem and tried to walk towards the ruckus through his division.
"Still i said" "do not move ..You are in the pressence of a King!!" the highest officer shouted in continuation.

"a..king.." the apparent man said.. "what.. is.. a.. king.. before.. a.. ..god?".. "What..is.. a .. god.. before.. a larger....      .. ..god?"
"How.. small.. a king....  before ... a .. larger.. god.."

Slowly the twenty men division walked backward.. spooked by the words of the man whom now stepping into the moonlight from under the temple roof clearly wore a deep-red hooded shroud covering all but his hands wich were pale as a corpse.

"It is you" Osega called out from within his division while walking forward.. "You are the ancient god of the desert" "what is your name demon!"

The red shrouded figure turned to the King then from the sand rose two thorned white tentacles pulling the division aside like splitting a log with an axe.
In the middle now clearly remained the King; face to face, his men held back on both sides.

"Where do you come from demon" Osega coughed in disbelief.. "How did you gain such power"

The shrouded demon lifted its hood showing a faceless head made out of white vines and answerred;
"mei Atade.. ma" (means: my thorned mother)

Then but few could escape with their lives, the vines ruptured now by the hundreds from the soil cutting Osegas men to shreds.

Eventually, from the distance the few soldiers that had made it out of the crater housing the Temple grounds could still make out the King on his knees surrounded by his dead.
Surely.. he was soon to follow.

05 - Rise and fall.

Envoys had sped to the Capital to bring news of the Kings death at the desert by the hand of the presumed 'Atade ma'.

Paa aman was in severe shock about this and roamed the halls of the Castle aimlessly throwing pottery and jewelry aside as he went, noone dared to stop his rampage as it was clear Trine's power now fell on him.
Especially with Kyigei on his mind, this was to much.

"He (kyigei) dares leave me with this responsibility.. who can bear a burden this heavy" He cried.. "and Vile!!..this beast of the desert.. it is not the Denimus i care about now.. I want revenge!"

Uume ran down the hallway toward Aman trying to calm him.. "I feel the burden as much as you Prince.." "But the Sunrock is not built for the desert, we both know that"
"Prince?!" Aman yelled angrily.. "I am KING now.." "Look at me, the aimless king.. PITY ME.. unhand me.." he whimpered on.. "this.. this is a much better destination for the sunrock dont you see.."

"Listen to yourself damn it.." Uume emitted throwing Aman to the ground. "We have worked for two years to defend against Empers new weapon and you will throw all that work away just to take revenge on a single beast.. the ship cannot cross the desert.. that is final..it would break down."

"allright" Paa Aman sighed cynically as if cured of his shock induced madness; Ill go without the ship.

"Excuse me?!?" Uume replied.. "You just said yourself you are king..."

"Give kyigei the title.." Paa Aman laughed.. "Oh.. right.. He was in Caboth.."

"The Denimus then??" Uume continued..

Paa aman stood up straight then threw off his royal cape and jewelry.. "Send the research to kyigei then, ..'and work with him.. for what i care"

"But.. Trine without a King?" pleaded Uume now clinging to Aman's discarded clothing..

For a final time Paa Aman turned before walking out of the Castle doors.. "The times.. changed early"

He was gone, off into the desert on foot, leaving a kingless state behind, Kyigei still unaware he had no home to return to.
--

06 - The right choice.

(prologue)
With both the King and his children gone from Trine, Emper noticed the lopsided balance of power as Trine's people fell into chaos and took emediate action, ruler of Emper at the time; Figo, would show no mercy and used the Denimus in an attempt to summon whatever it could.
Istus, the emperor of Eden and Giroth of Kaik's without hesitation responded by moving their full army to stalemate the summoning. Figo had not expected this.. instead he had thought Istus and Giroth would have agreed that Trine as a greatly weakened state had to dissapear from the map so Emper could take its place..
But apparently merely the memory of the once great King Osega had created a unspoken law. Young as he was he would not understand, The Emper council spearheaded by archmages 'Oji che' and 'Kirrov' insisted its continuation.

By this time Uume had continued work on the Sunrock by himself in solitude, even at night candlelight was lit still in the kingless castle for Uume would not sleep more than a few hours because he knew.. the balance of the states had crumbled, and surely war would come.
Trine Defenceless would not be an option, and as soon as he finished work on the flight capacity he decided.
-----

"Noone left but a single prince in the flying gardens of Caboth, one last hope for the world to keep safe the knowledge of the Denimus contraption.."
"If its used, none can stand against it and thus it must be destroyed, what else can manage such a deed.. internationally..than a flying ship"
"I have surely equipped it for this"

Uume started the engines, and crashed right through the Castle's dome on takeoff into the blue..

A while after; below the movements of the states surrounded the Capital of Emper whom in its warmachine had leveled the Emper forests whole.

To the Southeast then, the majestic flying city 'Caboth, also called the Corona of Edin, Here resided Kyigei.. still unaware of his father and brother, with Sidel.

----

A majestic gigantic round structure with gardens hanging all around, kept in the sky by massive magnetic rings on its base, once the city of gods.. now a mere temple and garden for those who needed a safe retreat.
Surely the research would be safe there from the chaos on Edin.

---

The ship had boarded Caboth on its side and Uume hasted himself to its gardens, Kyigei had already noticed and expected his brother.. alas.

"Uume?" started Kyigei "He's not with you?" "And father?"

Uume looked to the ground.. "Im sorry, it all fell apart.." "Your father met his..hero's death in the desert".."Your brother left the capital for revenge"

Kyigei could not believe his ears.. "Why.. why would he not come to me"

"Your brother envied you, kyigei.. he knew your mind was light, his mind was heavy.. he carries the weight of all of Trine, and i think it was to much"

"I..have our research with me.. it is a recording of all we know of Empers Denimus weapon.. wich they have already started to use. Im afraid i am the only one who can stop it.. with our ship"

Kyigei took the book from Uume and in silence held it close.

"Prince, you must guard that research, it is invaluable for history but must never fall in the hands of the likes of the Emper council, I... I must go.. noone knows.. you're here. Do please stay and give my regards to Sidel, tell him his father has enlisted locally near the mountains so he will be safe, it was all i could do"

Uume walked back into the ship, Kyigei gazed into the distance beside it as if it werent there..

"And prince" Uume concluded whilst dissapearing in the entrance.. "Your father.. knew"

---

"I guess this is gonna be it" Uume spoke to himself pulling up the levers on the bridge, the Sunrock battleship hovered slightly elevating above the Owls desert border to Emper.
On the horizon he clearly saw Empers new 'weapon, the denimus device.. installed high above the treeline. Their council busy trying to make it work.
"Only one shot, this will end the tensions"

It was true, only one well aimed shot from Trines mighty airship, a contraption never used before in war on Edin.. It could end Empers presumed warmachine, it could destroy the so called Denimus and force the states back into their stalemate, peace.
Uume could return to trine, perhaps Aman and Kyigei too.. Life would start again. Only one shot..

Suddenly the Denimus device flashed, councilmembers fell to their death from their constructions on its sides, the Denimus rose up, its front turned its discs and before Uume could turn the Sunrock away he felt the ship being caught in a force he could not escape from.
The emediate surrounding of the Sunrock blurred and morphed, day and night flashed back and forth and the ship trembled so loudly Uume feared it would fall apart..
"Im.. Hit... " Uume sighed.. accepting his fate "Should've made that shot" "Kyigei.. Aman"

But then it stopped as abruptly as it had started.. disformed clouds in front of the ship cleared and Uume emediately gazed outside from the windshields.
Below a cleaner land he could observe, there was no trace of Owls desert nor Emper, The Denimus weapon or war..

This time on the horizon in its stead, a City white as snow sounding their bells.
--------------
(epilogue/background/History)(not covered in the music).

Uume had reached the twin world known as 'Hura' through the Denimus device' ship and all. Flying directly toward the science city of Eliu in their 'first(ancient) timezone' (when Kauregal conducted forbidden experiments on their own worlds domestic Denimus in the capital of 'Dam', and was killed for it by Eluiscer (see TTC-Domus)
After a few months of having been shocked with what had happened and phases of denial and trying to find a way to undo his dimensional travel, Uume settled in Eliu and worked on his ship together with other scientists who had taken interest.
When finally his ship had been equipped to battle the Denimus threat on Hura; Uume renamed it the Sol (the sun) in memory and honor of King Osega. And took it back to the skies.

On the day Uume and the Sunrock had been caught in the attack by Edin's Denimus, calamity had struck the world.
In its exhange a gigantic golem had appeared, and all the nations had turned on it, even Emper's Figo.. against the will of the council joined the states of Kaiks and Eden to subdue it.
After its appearance they branded the golem 'Icle' (spire) and dominated it into a docile state.

Lord Figo of Emper would soon after be betrayed by the spearhead of his council 'Oji che' and was cursed with a poison known as the 'Vim lavos' wich burned the connection between body and soul.
As the first undead he was forced to take solace in the desert of Owls, changing his name to Orrin (the pale).

Kaik's king Giroth then died, leaving only Emperor Istus of Eden in power against Emper's council and its schemes. Ultimately.. Oji che and Kirrov made presumed peace with Eden, wich was but their last scheme. (see TTC-CHgenero, The Eden massacre).
--------------

08 - Burning the desert.

Owls desert, Owls temple ruins; now inhabitted by the three headed old god of confusion 'Buhishin'
But a year ago the mighty once uncontested king Osega of the golden nation Trine had fallen by the hand of Buhishin's second tentacle called 'Atadema'.
Of his strike force but a few had gotten away from the killing field to report to the castle, Osega's first son Paa Aman had been struck with rage and setted out for the desert on his own.
When he arrived however, it was not Atadema that stood waiting but his father himself, taken over to be Buhishins Third tentacle replacing Gibren of Hura (writers note: Enn Ihuren, Eken's sister after she too had been taken over, see Diades/Early Esau saga)
--
Dorned with a shining golden mask with the shape of a sun, the burning true sun reflecting on it hurted Aman's eyes, but he recogniced his fathers silhouette.
"Father, are you still alive.. i heard your elite troops were massacred.. did you fight off the enemy by yourself?"

Aman's father the king did not answer yet slowly raised his arm holding what seemed to be a staff..  From the sand a blade rose up .. a bardich as golden and bright as the mask.

".." Aman stepped back.. "Do you.. not recognice me"

Without warning the king struck his blade in Aman's direction, there was no hesitation.  Aman rolled to the side just barely evading the cutting edge but was hit on his back bluntly regardless..

coughing Aman turned toward his father again.. "You are.. not.. my father anymore.., you swing your blade visciously.. barbaric.. without direction, my father.. had greater grace"
"Very well" Aman concluded as he himself drew his sword' "I have not come here to flee like my fathers men, for without his consent i am no king"

Unmoved by Aman's words King Osega charged at Aman once more mindlessly swinging his blade, Aman resisted, deflecting the blows one after another but its inhuman strenght was unrelentless.
Before long Aman wore wounds and could no longer stand upright to fight Buhishins final tentacle effectively..

Looking up into the stale face of the sunmask Aman wondered if he now too would be made a puppet to the old god, afterall.. if the very King was now fighting in its name, how could he' the mere prince resist.

But Osega this time would not move, almost as if it recogniced Aman's total defeat, respected his surrender.

Around him the remaining tentacles of Buhishin slided throughout the sands as hungry serpents ready to inject their overtaking venom..

"n...noooo...." Struggled a voice behind King Osega's mask.. Suprising the tentacles into a pause..
Aman could only smile as the body of his once father rose the golden bardich above his head and cutted toward Aman's neck.

With a killing blow.. what was left of the king had made sure Buhishin was refused another puppet.
--

09 - River of gold.

Years had passed and in Caboth; the sky gardens of edin' resided Kyigei kurei, son of late king Osega, brother of late prince Paa aman.

Once to have taken refuge after his love; Sidel, the son of a friend of the king had been banished, he was now guardian of the book of the time crafters wich had been delivered to him by Uume, it contained the research on the Denimus.. an outworld weapon of Emper.

Years had passed, Sidel and Kyigei now lived a good life in the gardens of Caboth, both tending to their duty and bearing the name 'the flower princes of caboth'.

Untill that day, that day Buhishins thorn arrived.
------

0:00

Night in caboth, morning would come but late.
Footsteps as light as desert sand being blown by, dragged a shape itself through the starlit gardens..
Sidel sat at the edge in meditation, unaware of caboth's end passing.

The temple of caboth led a stairway down into a great subterrean hall that reached into Caboth's core.
Here Kyigei had trained to protect Trine's final treasure; the recordings of Empers weapon, the time crafters.

Wearing a giant kasa and wielding a spear kyigei was now a warrior to behold and not to trifle with.

But so was Buhishin's thorn.
-

"Who goes there" Emitted the echo of kyigei's voice onto the stairway, knowing the boundaries of sound in the halls by his ever pressence he had noticed the uncommon.

"Who is.. but a prince.. before a greater god" replied a voice alike the creaking of trees.

Kyigei walked into its direction slowly able to make out the shape now in front of him.

A face shaped as pale vines wrapped, a bleeding shroud of red.. This was no man.

"You stand right there demon, have you come for what is hidden here?!" Kyigei questioned.

The red shrouded creature arced slightly forward as it lowered two shimmering dark blades from its sleeves.

"waveswords?.. you dare to threaten me here?" "Demon, who are you and why are you here" insisted kyigei stepping back into a more defensive stance.

The creature seemed to form a eerie smile and replied now as a man; "Through all we have seen the desert build itself, we have hidden and fed on the unfortunate gods, we have fed on the unfortunate beasts, we have fed on the unfortunate kings of man, and now we can feed and grow on the unfortunate crafters of time, what a supply, what a joy to the desert."

"Kings?!" Kyigei yelled in anger.. "You killed my father?!"

The demon's smile grew wider and spoke once more.
"I am Ata de ma (thorn of mother), I sense the king no more.. he is free from us yet still dead.."  "Another came to us, he was no beast nor man, he knew of the sky.. the last thing unknown to the desert.. He knew of you, he knew of the crafters of time, i am here to take the map of the sky to the desert"

"The hell you will" raged Kyigei taunted.. and held his spear ready to strike, however Atadema had already sprung toward him.

Barely Kyigei could deflect its lethal attack and in reply jumped to higher ground preparing for his own.

Atadema stood unwavered, unexhaustable.

"Now i see why my father lost to you" coughed Kyigei.. "You may bleed but do not lose strenght because of it"

"No" said Atadema "This is not my blood"

Kyigei now fully snapped and with a loud shout threw himself at Atadema from above cutting his spear onto the demon in multitude, whom would not budge whilst being perforated again and again, it was but a small effort to respond.

Smashed onto the ground Kyigei could feel his bones break, this was not an opponent he could beat, this was truly part of a god..

"What will you do now" struggled Kyigei.. "Kill me then.. take your precious treasure"  "Then leave the gardens" As he realised he would not survive, hoping the demon would leave Sidel in peace... ah.. Sidel.. his true flower.

A sound from the stairway.. the slight rays of the morning sun..
The guard of Caboth came running down alarmed by the fight.. Kyigei could still emitt for them to run but it was to late, Atadema butchered without effort..  one to escape.. Then as Kyigei drew his final breath..
A sweet voice: "Hold".

10 - rebirth of the flower.

"I write to thee.

When i first woke up Caboth was in flames, i could not see a sign of you and accepted the worst.
The cause of this had left with your life, i dared speak of you no more and could only think of revenge..
Luck was but slightly with me still to find a barely functioning escape pod heading to Edin and it was there where i found what you kept assuring me.
There was still good in people, for a while..
Your father might have accepted you, my father considered me freed after the battle of owls.. but my love never had been.
In his eyes it had always been wrong before the king your father, and without him and his kingdom there was no longer damage to our honor to consider.
What a fool he was, with these words he had banished me twice.. Now it should come to no suprise to you my path once again branched from him.

Being with you in Caboth was to me to have been melted from ice, released.. you were the sun as was your coat of arms.
Without it there remains only darkness.

Regardless of the champion; Eken Ihuren's victory over the demon of Owls desert, i still feel the poison of vengeance running through my veins.
It calls to me to avenge you, or perhaps my love for you. It is like i became the shade of the flower prince,..you.

Who to still my darkness on, but a single beast remains that had stirred the flames..

The old god was wrong to have considered it a prey, it swallowed him whole instead. But there was nothing i could do..
In my desperation i have gone alone through the gates of the time crafters using the book that once was stolen from your very hands, it told me exactly how and where..
And now i understand why it was so important to protect, for this is a place where time has stopped..

Thats right my love, the goblet of the vim lavos was always inside.. the true weapon.
And now it has trapped me.. thinking surely forever.. but it is wrong.

I have seen the mark of finitude; someone passed through here and i have walked on his footsteps to from whence he came.

Darkness is not but inside me, for i know not how long i have been in the hybernating space of the time crafters be now i recognice Edin once more.

It is scorched and invertedly coffered by rubble.
A familiar world where tears have sunk the desert of owls so gods may oncemore thrive.

-memoirs of Sidel-"

Pretty interesting story :o

thank you, its a direct partial sequel and prequel compilation of the first story TTC chgenero.

After Mozaic there is one last book called TTC night, wich is still not finished but close to.
These books will never be released though, as ive gotten used to writing them thematically joint with the music tracks, they would be way to fractal as a actual book.
