no.. no..nonono....

How the heck can people call this better than the original?! This is so bad its saddening, first off there is no talent in remaking an existing vg track second the instrumentation used sounds horrible together, and the parts where it seems to be improvised are horrible.

Im giving a 2 to be kind, this deserves a 1.

original and structured

a good come together between an original percussion and atmosphere man, worth a 9 and a 5 against the 0-butts.

;)

thanks, glad you liked

All i want to say here is that i wouldve liked seeing a change to G on the background riff here.

and a D on the 1:07.

how does that sound?

this is just excellent

Its great relaxation-music, pure atmosphere.
Could be applied to a roleplay adventure game such as baldurs gate np.

The instruments all go very well with eachother and it keeps revolving the theme, grats.

Hi Calamaistr Yeah the mood is exactly what i was going for. Thanks for the review and glad you enjoyed.

pffff....

look ive gone trough all of your vg tracks and this is the only one i like a bit so here goes:

It is mostly atmospheric the whole time, this is a good thing here no worries.
Loop drags can set a mood when done right and in this track it is done right. Around 1: 22 i get the feeling you didnt know where to go for a moment, anyway.. this is definately a nice track and it makes me ponder why you didnt stick with the style yet in most other works almost abandon melodical quality and instead seem to focus on modern styles wich isnt really what chip and bit instrumentation shines at.

Regards.

BadCommandCo responds:

The accordion still feels like it belongs there and so does the part at 1:22. Also I don't seem to feel any of my music abandons "melodical quality" (melodical isn't a word). I always found this comment difficult to understand or agree with, but everyone perceives things differently.

with all respect

Im giving you a good score because its a perfect remake but really.. im losing my understanding why anyone would make an exact remake of anything.. its nothing impressive musically, it only requires a musical mind wich all actual musicians should have. (well maybe not on newgrounds according to the portal)

So as i said, this just sounds 100% like the original as i remember it, i do hear a few added effects here and there and thats cool.. ohwell im going to listen to some of your actual own work now if you have it, so recheck on some more of your uploads perhaps ill review it.

there are 3 things i love about his

First off, ive always liked megaman especially the music of mm1 till 3. (never played x series anyway) so points to you.

Second, i enjoy dnb by default.

Finally i really like it when people hybrid between a high fidelity style such as dnb and retro analog.

The only little thing to criticise is that the dnb isnt very exalting, but mid minute from 3:00 does make up for it.

one of the best tracks of retro era

But im not sure.. i didnt really think that was the right flute mate, but overall its not bad.. have you tried out other instruments for the main melody?

very enjoyable progressions

Your profile popped up in the underdog topic on forums by symbolcymbal and im a sucker for bit music as people know there, well this is a good start let me tell you.
I do need to say that i cannot stand anything that has to do with the dance genre but in the progressions of this track i can hear thats no issue here.

Ill look trough some more of your work.

yep

you're pretty cool now.

You should make more dnb.
