iiiiiiiiiiiiiits

to short bro.

Such lengths you can go and it just faaaades.

;l

ohwell!

RetromanOMG responds:

Yeah, because of the problems I was having with my headphone, I just tried to get it done as possible.

I might revisit this track, though.

great instruments.. but..

goddamn man.. the melody is just so random it hurts my brain. im sure you can do better.

Zeblackcat responds:

You're the first to realize that

I can hear a little master in you.

Its very soft and kind to the ear, but the manner in wich you pause and elaborate pieces, its much like how masters such as bach (also made music for the lute mind you, quite similar) composed music.

Ill add you to favorites and look you up again now and then. :)

Darkmaster603 responds:

Thanks. Bach is my biggest influence and inspirations, although my music doesn't show it much.

Thanks for the review!

very dark

Interesting that a track without any form of melody can be so strong to listen to :)

Darkmaster603 responds:

I like to use the word ambient literally. Most ambient music is too musical in my opinion, I like to create ambiance for specific settings.

Thanks for the review!

pfff

mostly overrated if you ask me, its the same little thing looped over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, sure the intensity changes slightly here and there but thats just it.

The only thing good about this track is the quality of the instrumentation.

wyldfyre1 responds:

Well, We can't please everyone can we? ^_~. Other people seem to like it so i guess we're doing something right.

instantly 5ed and favorited.
This is the filthy awesem.

If my life was a game, this could be one of the themes playing.

I swear to god this is so great man, im going to listen to this again tomorrow.

EmperorCharlemagne responds:

Glad you liked... wait, if this is your theme, does that make you a weirdo?? :-p

As to you comment, I too was a Nintendo boy growing up- I only really grew to love Genesis sound recently, after hearing some different soundtracks (like Thunder Force IV, Michael Jackson's Moonwalker, and the Adventures of Batman and Robin... all amazing OSTs).
Wanted to try my own hand at it ya see...

The lyrics to one of the manliest songs on Newgrounds, provided by a manly man.

eeeeaaargh.

The only thing that bothers me a bit is that it has to my ears some.. synth playing a melody halfway (0.55) that just isnt suited to.

Also, the emphasis on the percussion .. i dont like that but thats just me i guess since most people seem to be of the opinion that the percussion has to be the loudest, wich i disagree with.

Lastly, aside from that melody part its just not really going anywhere, doesnt have to matter, this could still be like a titlescreen track or something to a halloween game so ill give you a 8.

Syntrus responds:

Hey Cal yes this is a tittle screen track a lot of my music is. Just what I like to do. Your wrong about the melody in the middle.

no offence meant but probably will be

why this is in the top of all time is a mystery to me, this whole track is extremely, let me repeat that.. extremely boring.

the same three chords are repeated endlessly without any further melody, nor any elaboration or accentuation with only a MEAGER percussion at the end.

yes, thats the best thing about it and it only lasts 6 whole seconds.

unbelievable that something like this even got attention at all.

:l

Doumaaa responds:

Sometimes simplicity is beauty ;). Well it's your opinion so thanks for that. I agree it doesn't change much and could use a lot of fixing, but it's just a melody that came to mind when first trying to record piano and then adding guitar layers. The drums at the end were just for fun, I was (and still am) learning my way in fruity loops.

meh

its ok, the beginning reminds me alot of wrath of the black manta for some reason, most of the track is a bit bland, not alot going on to make it interesting sadly.

DJPureSuffer responds:

Never heard wrath of black manta, ill go check it out. thanks for the review :)
