your own sound.

all i was missing was a solid melody on top, its not 'necaserry' but wouldve been nice.

It all sounds like a decent track for a urban stage ( you know, like in streets of rage / final fight type games)

Greets -Cal.

HungarianSubstations responds:

Absolutely man - I'll take it into account if I ever decide to redo/finish this piece.
Thank you very much for the kind words.

youll think im crazy but

this sounds so much like ducktales-the moon for some reason.
In a good sense ofcourse, and the instruments are very nice too.
I like the accoustic sound of the guitar taking the melody.

sorohanro responds:

:)
Thanks.

brilliant

i can see this becomming very useful, its the biggest problem with vocal samples, the no vowel part.. makes them only fit in the background but with something like this you can actually make more of an actual choir with it.

sorohanro responds:

This week I hope I'll finish the last part (the "U" patch) and launch it :)
Thanks for review.

hmm

not as impressed with the melody part of this one and i think you used a megaman instrumentation cause it sounds like it.

But its not bad.

EmperorCharlemagne responds:

Ya win some ya lose some.
I like it :P

I didn't use instrumentation as much as I experimented with what I could get out of the different soundwaves (I had to split up the square wave into tiny tiny pieces to get the effect of the main melody), and I liked heard.

Thanks for the input!

its weird cause..

I think of winter and christmas when i listen to this :D

good job again man, hear you again!

Tomppaah responds:

;D Thanks man!

per-fect taiko

Has a sharp frequency that i dont like however..
I guess i like raw sound above mastered.

Anyway the taiko sounds very wet and real, so thumbs up on that one.
It also fades nicely at the end :)

greets cal.

sorohanro responds:

Sharp frequency...You mean the violin ? or flute ?
Somehow I cant hear what you say .

i like the retroesque instrumentation @ start.

aside from that its a bit loud its a enjoyable little piece.
I also always enjoy the chord progressions you throw around. :)

greets cal.

sorohanro responds:

Sound a bit like a Mellotron :))
Thanks for review.

ahh totempoles

At first i couldnt make out much, it sounded slightly random but boy is that a wrong thought, i chose to sit it through in respect to your review on one of my tracks and its a great track!, especially with the guitars eventually. I now recognice its a loose melody (on the rhode like bells), in the literal sense, ive done that myself occasionally too and i know very well you always have to get used to these things a bit.

Its like a field of windblown grassland and alot of colorful totempoles. (if i visualise)
Atleast something surreal.

Hope this makes sense. :p

This is good enough to favorite, ill check out your other tracks sometime soon. Greets -cal.

Tokolos responds:

Hey, thanks for the review calamaistr/
much appreciated

not what it could be.

whats with everyone that makes solo piano tracks using 200% reverb, thats not what a real piano sounds like man. Aside from the echo.
It would sound so much better without all that, trust me.

VoidGames responds:

yea i definitely get where your coming from!
i'll definitely keep this in mind next time i write a song because i just went back and lowered it a little and it does sound more natural
thanks for the feed back cala!

Start made me want to review right away

Holy shit guy, why dont you make stuff like this all day long for me to hear? ;)

Its so generic in the good way (atmosphere) :)
and jazzy! and jam, and inyoface-face.

(like the face of 8bit megaman looking at you all serious)

Keep making stuff like this, really. Im even going to fav this :D

EmperorCharlemagne responds:

Ha ha, glad you liked!
I wanted to make something both simple and catchy, and I think I did that, but I can't resist throwing in complex stuff (for good or bad) into my songs, which is where the solo came into play. :p I do what's fun, and that's making things quasi-jazzy!

I am planning on making more of this styled stuff (I have at least three or four tracks for this project to do!), so I will provide, rest assured.

Thanks for the review~!
