very dark

Interesting that a track without any form of melody can be so strong to listen to :)

Darkmaster603 responds:

I like to use the word ambient literally. Most ambient music is too musical in my opinion, I like to create ambiance for specific settings.

Thanks for the review!

BUT HONESTLY

my 8bit bicicle track is better than this.

(-_-)

still, nice effort man.

reminds me a lot of paprika

the scene with the chairman riding, well only the start.

Back to your track:
It has a nice horn or whatever it was playing a bit of a eastern thing at the middle ..
Sadly the progressions are rather dull, and keep ending in much overused combinations, it makes this track very generic even though it has some nice tension overall.

wellll

Its pretty heavy and spurred but at the end that melody played by the trumpet.. i dont know.. it just didnt sound right at some moments.

its why i could only give you a 'butterscotch yo'.

What i did like about this track is the wallknocks that ram through the track like an ongoing drum, its what really characterises it. :)

oh my flikflak backflipping jesus

why didnt i come across you sooner, im a sucker for dnb and retro vg (the latter i occasionally make myself)

this might not be the most elaborate melody granted the dnb on top makes it pretty cool.

Ill be checking out some more of your stuff.

pfff

mostly overrated if you ask me, its the same little thing looped over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, sure the intensity changes slightly here and there but thats just it.

The only thing good about this track is the quality of the instrumentation.

wyldfyre1 responds:

Well, We can't please everyone can we? ^_~. Other people seem to like it so i guess we're doing something right.

Could you please go

and find some guy who makes 16bit games for like PSN (i mean castle crashers was also on psn) and make the music for a game for PSN.

I want to play a game with your music in it.

Greets -cal.

p.s. not as good as the weird ruins but still good.

This is the filthy awesem.

If my life was a game, this could be one of the themes playing.

I swear to god this is so great man, im going to listen to this again tomorrow.

EmperorCharlemagne responds:

Glad you liked... wait, if this is your theme, does that make you a weirdo?? :-p

As to you comment, I too was a Nintendo boy growing up- I only really grew to love Genesis sound recently, after hearing some different soundtracks (like Thunder Force IV, Michael Jackson's Moonwalker, and the Adventures of Batman and Robin... all amazing OSTs).
Wanted to try my own hand at it ya see...
