sounds ALOT like coming from FF7
Its just exactly that sound. No criticism here. :)
Pretty cool, so now bring me to the boss, i will defeat him with my overpowered sword of a thousand explosions.

Well, it WAS made with Squaresoft soundfonts :p
Back in the day those guys were masters of the SNES soundchip, I'll tell you what.
1:00 haaa
took me by suprise, before that i wasnt much impressed it all sounded a bit like a clutter of background, no offence meant ofcourse but i just missed a standalone melody some way.
But at 1:00 it made sense like it was going there all along. (you probably just meant it as a refrain ;l )
I'll admit at certain parts i kinda wished for more clarity, but on the whole, I am pleased with the final product.
I kinda liken the entire song as one large jam section with a refrain at the end (kinda like Armored Armadillo from Mega Man X), so your assessment is not too far from the truth.
Glad ya liked it!
original work?
well done, will check you out sometime again.
Yes, original work of course, I even played it myself with my keyboard instead of clicking it. ;P
Thanks for your review. New stuff will come soon. ;D
haha what is this
i dont recognice shit in it :P
but its a nice compliment that something of mine inspired you though, you really shouldve added the vocals though, thats the best part imo. ;)
There should be a potion collab now that i think of it hmm.
ill 5 it for the effort and gesture btw, greets -cal.
I know, I really muddled it up :)
I used a bit of an awkward sample from the song to make it. I did get the "I have a potion" line in there but I didn't get the vox to shine through as much as I wanted (they're buried in the background under an ass load of reverb).
Definitely let me know about a potential potion collab cause this was pretty fun in itself.
Thanks for the review!
Trey
yes.
instruments are just right, sadly the flute is a bit in the background compared to the hits, perhaps thats about my own prefference, hell i am just halfway on this and am going to 5 it.
greets -cal.
Thanks for the review Calamaistr. I wanted the flute to stay quiet compared to the percussion personally. Great ear though.
lost me when the bass started
its good no question about it but i think the percussion part was wrong, it couldve been much much better especially if you wouldve inserted the 00:53 - 1:09 part in with an eventual bar lift.
nevertheless, a 7 aint bad man.
if i played a nintendo game
i wouldnt be suprised if i heard your music in it, youre improving that much. :)
I hope 8bit comes back man, shit.. graphics are making videogame developement as expensive as it is, :/
Back when, games were made with a passion.
The same passion us composers make our music with, it was a passionate synergy.
We need that again.
Greets -cal.
short
wich is sad, cause i like organ, this could easily fit into a 'restpoint' of a game, makes me think a little of battle of olympus for some reason.
you should make a longer version.
Indeed, this piece was actually created for an ambient noise project I am part of, so it was never intended to be a whole track. I am glad you like it though, and will certainly consider revisiting it, if not the use of organ-sounds in my future compositions ^_^
the following is truth, not lies.
without lorp, there would not air.
without air there would not be bird.
Its a silly track, what more to say about it, it would bore me to hell if i listened to it for to long though, perhaps it would fit into a 'bonus stage' :)
Some cloud jumping to get points or whatnot.
Hahah indeed! Thank you for the review man!
your own sound.
all i was missing was a solid melody on top, its not 'necaserry' but wouldve been nice.
It all sounds like a decent track for a urban stage ( you know, like in streets of rage / final fight type games)
Greets -Cal.
Absolutely man - I'll take it into account if I ever decide to redo/finish this piece.
Thank you very much for the kind words.
