live like.

It sounds so real, amazing job.

i enjoy the originality of the intro

nice first attempt of 8 bit man :) i think you found a new style to master.

p.s. did i or emperor charlemange in any way inspire you to try this? :รพ

greets.

never heard of the movie.

but the music is pretty awesemen.
final fight was one of the most manly games ever though, pretty much because of the man that created moustaches 'mike haggar'.

i think you should do a track based on mike haggar now, we all know you want to.

EmperorCharlemagne responds:

Mike Haggar is one of the manliest men on the planet. I am not sure if I could make a song that does justice to Mike Haggar, the Slam Master.

I did post the link to the movie up above, and it's definitely worth a watch, if you want to see the valiant Catman use some of the greatest martial arts superpowers conceived to take on a rogue's gallery of druggies, hobos, an evil asian kung-fu priest, and an evil pony-tailed priest with an RPG.

may i insert my plug into your socket?

its like battling an army of cyborg crocodiles in an industrial modern car factory.

very enjoyables. ^______ ^

Glad you liked!

melodically random untill 0.53 and overall dull.

the technique used i used to make music throughout the whole 90s the same way, the instrumentation is spot on, the drums are a bit generic chiptune rock but ohwell.

All in all decent but not very interesting.

kindof classic.

this is a good thing.

sometimes the blurr/haze clouded parts but no biggie.
i liked the dancing of the flute here and there.

very atmospheric, natural.

good stuff. :)

if you ask me one of the FEW original.

you deserve your spot in the nac, most of the others dont (some tracks melodies are even partially stolen). ill keep it at that.

no wonder you rate actual game music low.

im still going to be fair here and tell you why i give you a low score.
This has nothing to do with your additute, but it did explain it.

Youre not using accurate instrumentation, infact this is obviously 32 bit. It also has an overkill of reverb, a gameboy would never be able to emitt a sound like this..

WerewNC responds:

Hey, thanks a ton, dude! I'm in this competition for the learning experience, and by my own admission this is a mediocre song.

I'm new to composing video game music. All I've used for sounds before is soundfonts, and it's hard to find good ones that are free for public use. Your review caused me to come across a program called LMMS that makes a great intermediate step from MuseScore to Audacity for me and has some good, free Game Boy sounds to boot!

woah

this was in my bookmark list of 50 years ago or something (when i still had another account due to only making poor stick flash) this is pretty nice, makes me think of mozart composing while hes asleep or something :)

massive quality.

Like im listening to a CD.

Instruments all portray realistically (wich in my book is never necaserry but awesome when it works)

There is fitting tensions, it all just sounds enjoyable.
Thanks for making this so i could hear it :)
