Theres relatively speaking alot more detail in this track than in the other ones, and not mistaken detail just to throw it in. I also like the echo on the guitar solo btw, the violin i cant stand, but thats mostly because you make it do something it shouldnt, you should never ever drop a violin sound, not try to make it sound like a freaking piano. Because it makes it emediately give away that its electronic breaking the illusion of what its supposed to emulate, unless thats what you wanted it to.

Also, again.. im sad about the lack of fluctuation, theres just no accentuations going on, the track sounds flat.

Overall, ignoring all the purisms, its okay. And i think its the best of your three uploads you posted on the forum because it actually atleast tries to be music, its active. Just without vibrant color.

Ill react on two points;
1: the sound.
I have to say that though the mastering again is stale like the previous track i reviewed, the instruments used sound fine together (the mix), theres just zero power in it, none. its flat as a plank. At the least you could make some volume accents in the percussions, add some hiss to the knotpoints in the track. Always accentuate, im using very good headphones.
2: the music.
Untill the little electrical guitarish solo the melody seems... It just sounds unrelated to everything else to be honest.

Im listening to this and thinking what i could add more but id have to have the file open in FL studio to be exact.

Its rather stale at the first half, I do think better of the progression in the second, its calmer, though not very elaborate. The cymbal is too short and too sterile in sound imo, would be better longer. Ill give you 4 stars for the track being above average though.

this is a midi rip..with a few cutouts, im playing it directly next to the original and its 100% the same. :/

Enervating, refreshing. Never dull.

Friend, with this kind of music you're a well apreciated chiptune artist here, please upload more of this.

Its very simple but not irritative, all i feel like is missing is a middle-instrument, something like a recurring synth or sine~line, perhaps a soft electric guitar, like a single note chirping by sometimes. Its nice regardless.

Satyre responds:

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try to add some more instruments, also the ones you mentioned and see how it will come out. When it becomes better I'll upload a new version :)

Tranquil ambience, good thematic appliance of the instrumentations correlating with the setting.

Can see this working as a title screen thing, not as a level track as its simply too static for that. :)

Satyre responds:

Thanks for the review. I have to add some more parts to the song in the future, cause as you mentioned it's to static atm to be used as a level track, which it was meant to be used to. Other reviewers from the project gave me that hint too :)

perfect loop, but this track is more suited for a town imo, must be the toms and choice of instrumentation on the melody. From my experience what works best for a space tune are cut synths or sines and likewise beeps..

Then again i dont know anything about this project so perhaps its relevant to the whole.

good work anyway.

Satyre responds:

Thanks for the suggestions of the instrumentation. It is supposed to be played as a space travel music for a child game. The songs "winter" and "falling snow" are also supposed to be played in the same game (which is unpublished atm), maybe they can be heard to see if they their style fit together. It's interesting to hear that it could be used as a town theme, which I really didn't imagine :)

why the heck did i have this on loop for a hour lol.

must be nice to listen to or something, go finish those tracks if you havent already. :P

GlitchAssassIn93 responds:

I will finish the tracks for sure! Thanx =)

Never played medroid, just came in here to say that (after learning it is form a game and not a original work, otherwise i wouldve had more to say, sorry) the mix is very complimenting.

MiguelVolkov responds:

Oh thanks... I really wish this was mine... Nintendo's composers are just great. Thanks for your comment =)
