I really think, like with your dr mario track the full synth doesnt translate well to this kind of music, i can explain this though; most typical classical/melodical videogame music has its strenght from the tonal structures; the fact that each tone is percieved individual. Synths blurr melodies wich takes away that strenght. ;)

Hope this 'criticism' helps.

:D !

My favorite mario music, real.
Cant say i enjoyed all the instrumentations, some of them feel a bit misplaced (mainly the full synth isnt appreciated) but at least its dr mario. :p

This is like playing double dragon with megaman music xD
very 80s.

Well done :)

One classical demigod to another; this is a little planet floating in space for eterinity thats for sure. :)

nice sub progressions and intervals. :)
favied.

dreamy into the universe of floaty bubbles crispy shimmer!

Dunno why you tagged it lordoftherings tho, but this is the kind of lowfi instrumentationed atmospheres i like to listen to when im 20% tipsy and looking for something engulfing.

Its kindof trance vibed btw (the real trance, not the club stuf that came after) i love when the track becomes full around 2:20 and the dnb effects make it bud spencer slap you around in the good way. :)

Very enjoyable man, keep it up.

(sorry if my review is jibberishlike, im 20% tipsy atm)

I knew it, i just knew you had to have made the track in asslevania, i recogniced your style :P
Beats me why i wasnt asked though, i love projects like these. Ohwell.

Thumbs up, its very enjoyable in that game.

Genclops responds:

Thanks, he used one of my oldest tracks - I didn't compose a new one for him. Very happy you enjoyed it in the game!

With a two and a half minute main theme score who wants to even play the game? :P
And its pretty good aswell, i like how the progression glues to itself and doesnt stray wich gives a very threatening and glooming mood. Really crisp organ too, wish i had one of those.

samulis responds:

I think the organ is actually from Garritan's organ pack. One of the garritan products that is actually worthwhile checking out. I've also heard some of their Instant Orchestra and it really sounds quite good, which is surprising.

Getting a slight suikoden vibe here but its to short and i think other chord choices here and there wouldve made it better. :)

samulis responds:

Mmmm... it's just a little stinger for entering the tavern. There was going to be a little band in there playing.

Very enjoyable, i like how the strings intersect. Thats hard to do right for most people.
All the percussive tingles and clingclangs in the background add alot of atmosphere aswell.

samulis responds:

I love playing around with string lines and counterpoint in my pieces. When the new game I'm doing music for, Airscape, comes out, you'll see a helluva lot more of that but with all sorts of instruments. Very contrapuntal stuff. :)
